Club House reopening!
Our board had voted to keep the Club House closed through the end of May. We have decided to cheat a bit and I am happy tp say that we will be opening the Club House for member use beginning tomorrow May 30th.
Please take note of the following:
It may take a bit of time to get the ice maker up and running.
At this time we will not be opening the Club House for private events.
Please respect the goals of social distancing and safety. As the risks of infection are much higher indoors in a shared space I urge you all to wear masks while in the club house, particularly in the bathrooms.
Please keep up the good work of disinfecting all surfaces that you touch in the bathrooms.
Cheeseburger in Paradise Party Canceled
Due to continued restrictions limiting social gatherings, we have cancelled the Cheeseburger in Paradise Party that was scheduled for May 30th.
Come out and see and sail our new Fleet!

On Saturday May 30 from 9:00 -10:30 AM our new Youth Training Fleet will be in the water by our new "Opti Dock". This is a great opportunity to come out an see these exciting new boats that will certainly elevate the skills of our young sailors.
NSF Chairman Marc Fortune and other members of the NSF Board will be on hand to "dedicate" our new fleet.
HIYC Chaplain Gene Lovelace will conduct a blessing of the fleet!

Following the ceremony, there will be the opportunity to take a boat out for a "quick spin" in the harbor. For those wishing to sail these great boats, gloves and masks are the dress of the day.

Also if you feel inclined to contribute to the purchase of these boats, your donation to the Nashville Sailing Foundation is tax deductible and all donations are appreciated!

Sail Camp Update
I am happy to report that we will be having our Sail Camp this summer. I am told that enrollment for the first week is full and we have filled many of the available spots for the week of June 22.
If you wish to have your child or grandchild take part, please act quickly.
Sail Camp will begin on June 15th with another session following on the week of June 22nd
Our attendees will be the first group to use our new training boats!

Laser sale: Marc Fortune has informed me that there are still a few Lasers available for purchase. If you are interested please contact Marc.
Please come out and check on your boat
In spite of my notice in last weeks blast we still have a number of boats with just one mooring line.

If you have a boat in the mooring field, Harbor Master CJ Pierce is asking that you please come out to the club this week and check your boat.

CJ had to replace mooring lines on two boats recently when one of the required two mooring lines had broken and the other line was badly frayed. Please remember that club rules requires two mooring lines on every boat and a current Tennessee registration sticker. If there are any boats in violation by next Saturday, the Harbormaster will be authorized to add a second line and the owner of the boat will be billed for the cost of the line, plus a fine will be levied!
Please come out tomorrow and race!

Remember that all Mooring Fleet members are entitled to equal access to the Courtesy Dock!
