In honor of Valentine's Weekend, we will be hosting a social event at the club.

Send your RSVP to Ashley's Venmo: @ashlevans
• $5 per person, if you bring a bottle of wine to share
• $10 per person, if you want to enjoy the wines we provide
• $15 per person, at the door & non-members.
We are still finalizing details; there will be games and fun, and we are putting together a contest!
You must RSVP by Mon Feb 10th, tickets close AT 9am that day, so our party planning team can go get food / drinks appropriate to the amount of folks who RSVPed. Otherwise, pay at the door!
Cohost - Julie Gordon, party planning committee: Katie Griswold & Ania Gorska!
Wow! Two fabulous social events in one month!

Because the Snow Ball is limited to just 80 tickets  we are limiting ticket sales to our members and their significant others for the next two weeks. Should you wish to invite non-member friends to join you, remaining tickets will be available for sale until they sell out from February 15 - February 22.
Because we have to order food in advance there will be  no "walk up" tickets sold at the door.
Hello Dinghy Sailors!

Current forecast for Sunday, February 9th is for a high of 59 degrees with wind from the SSE at 10 to 20 mph. How lucky can we get with this weather, right?  Noteworthy that “Saturday’s” low will be 29 degrees and hits around 4-5AM Sunday morning.  It might be a little chilly when we get there but should be well above the cutoff by race time. We had a few swimmers last weekend in very similar conditions, so I’d stick with a farmer john and a spray top despite the warm air temperature.  Folks of lighter frame will probably want to pack their radials.

I got an email from ILCA D12 Secretary Rob Bowden about upcoming Laser regattas and am happy to share this info.  I think it would be great to get some HIYC Laser sailors on the road.  I’ve checked the D12 schedule against the HIYC regatta calendar and there are no conflicts with our dinghy events. Their first event for 2020 is the Lake Lanier Laser Southerns on March 7/8th.
