Domino and me – A Great Loop Adventure
HIYC Member Zyg Durski
Currently at Confederation Basin Marina, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Crossed Lake Ontario from Oswego, NY on Wednesday. Kingston, which is located where the St. Lawrence River begins, is recognized as the freshwater sailing capital of North America. The day I arrived, the ILCA Laser Radial Youth World Championships were taking place. The Portsmouth Olympic Harbor and Marina are here built for the 1976 Olympics and continue to host world class sailing regattas and CORK Canadian Olympic sailing training. Next, the Trent Severn Waterway.

Low Country Boil and Raft-up.
This event is the easiest one of all to host. This year we are encouraging newer members to host it. Big round of thanks to Doug & Tresa Botzum, Tom Hines, and Ashley Evans for stepping up! We need three or four more members to volunteer. No setup, no decorating, just prepare to-go food and then go out and have fun in the circle of love. Text Ashley at (847) 845-1750 if you can pitch in.
