Rules:  The race will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-2008 (when Boats Meet, the prescriptions of US Sailing, applicable one-design class rules, HIYC-PHRF Rules (employing Time Correction Factors), and the Notice of Race (except as any of these are altered by these sailing instructions), the sailing instructions and any modifications posted on race day.

Eligibility:  The regatta will be open to all boats properly registered with the PHRF committee at HIYC.  Each boat sailing must have a PHRF rating that has been assigned by the HIYC PHRF Committee prior to the regatta.  To obtain a PHRF rating, please contact Scott Howard, PHRF Chairman, at (615) 264-2857 or email: Scott-Howard@msn.com.  This is a one-day regatta.  Each boat will be sailed by only two persons.

Anticipated Classes:  Participants will be divided into classes and/or fleets based on number of entries, PHRF ratings, performance characteristics and spinnaker use. Fleet assignment will be made by the race committee before the skippers' meeting and will be posted at the conclusion of that meeting.

Schedule:  Saturday July 9th

0800-0900  Coffee, doughnuts and registration

0900            Skippers meeting

1025            Warning Signal for race

Anticipated Course:  The approximate anticipated location of the marks of "river courses" and the order in which they are to be rounded will be announced and posted at the skippers' meeting. Marks of "river courses" are to be left to port.

Fees:  10.00 per boat

Awards:  Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place finishers in each class with more than five entrants.
